How To Order
You can place an order for a Custom or an Artist Gallery lampshade online via our secure website or by faxing us an order form. Click under "shortcuts" menu on the right "Order Forms" to download either order form or to view online ordering options. Alternatively, you can call our offices at (540) 661-3434 or email us at sales@lifeshade.com to request an order form. We accept most major credit cards.
The Custom lamp shade Order Form allows you to personalize a lamp shade with up to four of your own photographs. Simply specify one photograph for each side (panel). Additional layouts are available (panoramic, collage, graphics) – call our customer service for specific details.
We prefer email delivery of digital images but will accept traditional prints. There is a $5.00 per print scanning fee.
Traditional Prints
Please, DO NOT SEND IRREPLACEABLE PRINTS, as it is just too risky. We will return your treasured prints as soon as possible but we suggest, if you do not have the negative or a copy of the print, please have a high quality duplicate made before sending it to us.
Simply email us at sales@lifeshade.com and be sure to include your photos, name, and a contact number in the body of your email.
The resolution from most newer digital cameras works perfectly for our lamp shade panels. If possible, avoid choosing photos that are less than .5 megabytes in size. JPEG or TIFF files are preferred. We’ll always call you if there is a problem or clarification needed.
Scanning Tips
Scan your image at 300 dpi resolution. Save the file in RGB mode using JPEG format with the highest quality setting and lowest compression. If you have an old photo and don’t have a scanner, you can have your photo scanned into a 300 dpi JPEG digital file on a CD at selected Kinko’s stores, which you can then upload to us from your computer.
Printer’s Proof
We can create a “printer’s proof” and send it to you via email, so you can see and approve your Life Shade™ before it is printed. Check the “Printer’s Proof” box on the order form that tells our people to place your order on hold until we hear back from you via email or via phone.
