What is the Lighting Closet?

The Lighting Closet is our way of saying these are our Samples. Lighting Closet lampshades are deeply discounted and, for one reason or another, just couldn't make the cut to be sold as new but still need a loving home! Lampshades that are really bad are not even going to make it to the Lighting Closet and are recycled.

So, what's the problem? Each lampshade in the Lighting Closet has in its' description what the problem is that caused it to be placed in the Lighting Closet. Most of the problems are minor dings, blemishes, pinholes in the printing, discontinued designs, old medium (photo paper vs backlit), and the like. Other than what was noted, these lampshades are a BARGAIN!

If for any reason, other than the blemish noted on the lampshade, you are not satisfied with your purchase, simple call us at (540) 661-3434 for an return authorization and we'll take care of the rest.

Why Life Shade?

We started Life Shade in 2005 with the concept of producing customized photographic lampshades. We quickly moved into making Fine Art Lampshades from artwork licensed from our artist friends. As a matter of fact, Life Shade invented the Fine Art Lampshade. Each lampshade is made from a single piece so there is only one seam - many of our images "wrap" around the lampshade - a design feature we're proud to say we pioneered.
